Armatis, a French pioneer in customer experience, officially inaugurated its customer service workshop on Wednesday, 1 July, inside the Orléans-Saran prison (Loiret). The inauguration marks the operational start of a first-of-its-kind initiative, developed in partnership with the French prison administration, to give incarcerated individuals a concrete path toward professional reintegration.
A reintegration project, now fully operational
Announced earlier this year, the Armatis workshop at Orléans-Saran prison is now a reality. The site will welcome its first incarcerated employees from September, engaged in customer relations and back-office activities, under a setup jointly designed by Armatis and the prison administration.
Based on voluntary participation, the initiative offers 24 positions to individuals selected on the basis of their aptitude, conduct, and ability to commit to a structured professional path. Armatis provides training in customer service roles, skills development support, operational follow-up, and the daily presence of a manager dedicated full-time to the activity.
The same operational standards as the entire Armatis network
The activities entrusted to the Orléans-Saran workshop are fully integrated into Armatis’s operational standards and are subject to the same quality, performance, and monitoring requirements as every other site in the group. Those taking part in the reintegration programme receive the same job training, the same tools, and the same supervision as Armatis teams in France and internationally. This project demonstrates that social impact and operational excellence reinforce one another.
For companies and institutions, entrusting their customer relations activities to the Orléans-Saran workshop means benefiting from a quality service, delivered by teams trained and supervised to the same standards as the rest of the Armatis group, while actively contributing to a project with strong social impact.
The Armatis group invites organisations wishing to entrust their upcoming customer relations activities to the Orléans-Saran workshop to get in touch with the group (contact@armatis.com).
“The inauguration of this workshop is a great source of pride for Armatis and for everyone who has believed in this project from day one. What opens today in Saran is much more than a customer service floor: it’s a door to employment, to self-confidence, to a possible future. We are convinced this model can set an example, and we intend to defend and grow it with the same rigour and human commitment that guided its creation,” says David Gillaux, Chairman of Armatis.
