International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women: commitment to diversity and prevention

November 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a symbolic date highlighting the urgent need to act against this worldwide scourge. At Armatis, this commitment goes beyond a day; it builds on continuous actions promoting diversity, inclusion, and prevention.

Statistics tell the urgent story: nearly one in three women worldwide has suffered physical or sexual violence at least once. In France alone, 2024 data report over 450,000 victims of physical violence and 122,000 of sexual violence recorded by authorities, but only one in six victims files a complaint.

Armatis’ concrete actions

Faced with this major social issue, Armatis enacts ambitious policies to raise awareness and prevent sexual, sexist, and domestic violence. With 66% female workforce, the company proactively created a monthly working group dedicated to these topics.

The goal: make Armatis a resource hub where information is visible and accessible, and everyone can find listening and support. Actions include:

  • Display of emergency numbers at all sites
  • An orange-themed mobilization day symbolizing the fight against violence
  • Thematic exhibitions to inform and raise awareness
  • Distribution of 500 “violentometers” to identify toxic or abusive relationship behaviors
  • Creation of a Sexual Harassment and Sexist Acts reference committee for guidance and support

Armatis also expanded its prevention efforts against cyberbullying, an escalating form of violence in digital spaces. Three educational comics illustrate journeys of employees facing such situations, facilitating understanding and dialogue with tact and clarity.

This comprehensive and lasting commitment earned the “HR Care Prize” recognizing the quality and positive impact of Armatis’ HR policies.

The importance of collective mobilization

While November 25 is symbolic, the fight against violence toward women is a daily necessity, requiring continuous engagement from businesses, institutions, associations, and citizens.

In companies, prevention efforts are critical to create safe spaces for open dialogue, properly guide victims to support channels, and raise collective awareness of everyone’s role in detecting, preventing, and fighting all types of violence.
